Heriot’s Rugby Super Series (formerly Super6) team is one of six franchises competing in the FOSROC Super Series rugby competition that began in November 2019. It is the part-time professional league that bridges the gap between the club and professional game in Scotland. In the Sprint Series of 2023, Scottish Rugby Union have included two pro teams, Edinburgh Rugby ‘A’ and Glasgow Warriors ‘A’ and an U20s side made up of contracted Academy players.
