Next Saturday Blues 1st XV are away at Meggetland to face Boroughmuir, why not come along and support the team and Boroughmuir’s HM Day Hospitality – See details below:
Boroughmuir have pre-match hospitality on the 5th as it is their HM day or Happy Memories Day. HM day is when they remember and celebrate all those members and players who have graced their club but are no longer with us. HM was Hugh MacMaster’s initials and the driver for creating this annual event. This year is their 17th year or hosting this event.
They have decided to take the opportunity to raise funds for Marie Curie and this year, the Brain Tumour Charity.
It is their first HM day since Covid so there have a few players and club members to mention (Kenny Ross, Bill Noble, Ronnie Lindsay, Colin Gordon Martin McFarlane, Craig Dawson and Gordon Duff – all club legends).
The event will have an auction, raffle and after lunch entertainment in the form of that famous double act – Sean Lineen and Kenny Milne. It’s £25/person or £250 for a table. If you want to come along and support their event contact Derek Binnie on 07760 160949 or email Derek.binnie@outlook.com
