While the Scottish Rugby Union, and Club Rugby Board, resolve the practical issues of the dissolution of Super Series Rugby The Board of Heriot’s Rugby Club wanted to reassure all involved in the club, whether playing or supporting, that the club is in exceptionally good health and that we are very positive about our future.

Heriot’s are the only Super Series franchise who are currently in the Premiership, with our Blues Men 1st XV achieving fifth position this year. Our Blues Women continue to establish themselves in the Women’s Premiership, the Blues Men 2nd XV won the Reserve League for the third year running, and the Blues Men 2As continue to offer young players a great development and playing platform within the Heriot’s Rugby Club environment. Our junior pathways through the Heriot’s Hammers, and our partnership with North Edinburgh Vikings, are brimming with talent and enthusiasm. The Super Series decision will, of course, cause us to evolve in terms of our coaching and playing platform, however we are very confident it will be a positive evolution.

Super Series has afforded us a privilege to introduce more great people into the Heriot’s Rugby Club family and we will take all learnings from that experience into account in shaping our future rugby structure. In short, the ‘One Club’ mantra we are built upon lives and breathes “Exciting rugby for all”.
