What better way to see Scotland, experience the great outdoors than on your bike?
Heriot’s Rugby Club together with our Charity Partner Capability Scotland are planning a charity cycle from St Andrews to Edinburgh on Sunday 23rd July 2023.
Iain Duckworth, President and Ben Bradbury from Capability Scotland will lead the cycle that will finish at Goldenacre.
How to enter
£30 registration
Minimum Fundraising Target = £150 using our Justgiving page https://www.justgiving.com/team/HRCCharityCycle2023 Click on the button to ‘Join the Team’ and click ‘Create a fundraising page’ if you don’t already have one set up or ‘connect fundraising page’ if you have already set your page up. Once you have completed this step, you can share with friends to start raising funds.
Why should I join Team Heriots/Capability Scotland?
As a Team rider, you’ll receive:
- Team cycling jersey if you raise £150 by event day.
- Join our regular training rides to build towards the big day.
- Regular emails to keep you up to date and support you with Team Heriots/Capability Scotland and event news.
- Support vehicle in case of mechanicals
- Post race celebration at Goldenacre.
Most importantly we’ll provide you with a reason to keep going because you’ll know that you’re making a difference to the lives of disabled, children, adults and young people across Scotland.
Please make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions (below) before signing up. You must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event to take part.

Terms & Conditions
- Heriot’s Rugby Club and Capability Scotland accept no liability for loss, damage to bicycles or injury in training for or taking part in the cycle itself.
- Each rider is required to have their own insurance to cover them for the cycle.
- If you have any underlying health issues, please ensure you seek medical attention/advice prior to taking part, Heriot’s Rugby Club and Capability Scotland will not be liable for any health issues as a result of taking part.
- We are asking you to raise a minimum of £150 through your JustGiving page.
- Riders are asked to meet at a required point and follow the route as specified in your welcome pack.
