Charity Cycle for Capability Scotland

On Sunday, past, some of our members and supporters of our Charity Partner, Capability Scotland, took to their cycles. They cycled from Glasgow to Edinburgh, finishing up at Goldenacre after their 56-mile cycle. The organiser, after pulling the whole charity cycle together, Iain Duckworth, was unable to take part, due to ill health.  We are pleased to report that Ducky is making a good recovery. With this and the virtual cycle, Heriot’s Rugby Club raised £10,000 for Capability Scotland, bringing the total raised for Capability Scotland is now £14,000.

The team used National Cycle network 75, which saw them take a rather scenic route. The cycle was a long one, but the team stuck together and despite some punctures (occupational hazard) they turned up at Goldenacre in fine spirits.

Apparently a few of these along the way
Wonder where on the journey this was – Glasgow??
Craig, is this allowed?
Clearly Ben is enjoying himself

Thanks to Ben Bradbury, Gordon Lawrie, Lynsey Lawrie, Ian Dalglish, Gav Stevenson & Craig Robertson for taking part. You can still support the team by donating through our team just giving page https://bit.ly/3LgPuPp
